The Parks couple were concerned about how their golden retriever Avocado would react to the child when they became parents.
The animal, however, started to show the child extra affection and attention.
According to the young mother Maria, Avocado initially mistook baby Sam for a brand-new toy to play with.
Later on though, the dog started to travel everywhere with the kid. He may, for instance, lay down next to him, hug, and offer protection.
‘Avocado kept an eye on Sam the first few evenings from our bed. He watched the baby closely as he moved around his bed while he slept.
After a few days, Avocado discovered that the ‘toy’ was not actually his and that it was motionless, as Maria recalls.
She expressed her happiness at her son’s bond with a pet. When I see them and realize that Avocado is assuming the position of an older brother who looks out for his smaller sibling, my heart warms,’ Maria continued.
People on social networks enjoy this kind of friendship. They make an active effort to comment on the image of the youngster and the golden retriever.
