Marie Spreigner, a 9-year-old from Seattle, enjoys collecting things, like many children her age.
Numerous tiny items are kept in her personal ‘treasury.’
Maria doesn’t, however, go out and gather her own treasures like other children her age do.
She receives them from crows. Yes, much like in cartoons, Maria befriends birds. And the girl receives gifts frequently from appreciative birds.
Maria was only a young child.
Food frequently went onto the path from her hands while she was walking. As soon as the girl left the house, the crows gathered and kept a tight eye on her to see if they might use this as an opportunity to make some profit.
Maria eventually started feeding the crows her leftover school lunch as she made her way to the bus stop.
The crows started to gather at the girl’s house every morning as a result, cawing to welcome her and follow her to the stop.
Maria also made the decision to show her pals some kindness. She placed a feeder and drinker outside her home and refilled it each morning with new food and water. After that, crows’ presents started to materialize.
