A Filipino youngster, had to get even a small handful of rice for lunch as a child, but because of his determination and ambition, the boy rose to fame.
He is now a one-of-a-kind boxer who has won the world championship in eight different weight classes. As a result, he decided to establish a village.

The lovely community is named for the boxer. Each village house is designed for two households and has two independent entrances on opposite sides.
In addition to residential buildings, the hamlet has sports fields, a park, and a center.

He remembers his upbringing with sadness: he grew up in a very poor huge family, and his diet consisted mostly of bananas and root vegetables.
He had to walk away from school at the age of 12 and start selling donuts on the street. The future boxing champion was then trained by his uncle.

His uncle claims that the man has always had a strong personality. ‘He got up at 4 a.m. every day and went for a run.’
‘This guy will grow up to be a world champion,’ I remarked after six months of intense training. And so it came to pass.’
