Daniel made the decision to get a puppy and visited a nearby shelter to take care of a companion.
Zink, a golden retriever sat with his head down.
With a full heart, Daniel yearned not to leave the dog behind.
However, inside the shelter, staff members started to discourage the man, claiming that the retriever was ‘difficult to adjust’ due to his propensity for smiling oddly and showing all of his teeth at once.
But there was something about Zink that profoundly affected Daniel. He made the choice to let the dog have a chance at a regular existence.
Along with the escort, the man filled out the papers and went to pick up the animal. Zink then grinned.
The dog, in fact, was obviously unable to smile. He showed them his teeth in an effort to get their attention.
As Zink gained the owner’s trust, his well-known grin reappeared.
The retriever started to open up and revealed himself to be a funny dog once he understood he could trust the owner and that this house could become his permanent home.
