Despite popular belief, people chose their furry friends rather than the other way around. Philip Walken, a native of San Diego, too has this circumstance.
He had always been aware of the significant responsibility and lifetime commitment involved in living with a canine companion.
He therefore had no immediate plans to adopt a dog or a cat. But when he first met Miki, they instantly clicked.
When a stray kitten entered Philip’s apartment, he was hosting a movie night with some of his friends.
She warily approached the door and discreetly sniffed the ground while keeping a close eye on us.
Philip concluded the cute little one lived on the streets based on the appearance of his fur. She was also without a collar.
He then made the choice to feed and bathe the kitten while keeping him for the night. He had no idea that the tiny kitten would fundamentally alter his life.
If I had the chance to help, ‘I couldn’t just let a stray kitten that strolled in, walk away,’ he added.
‘ I gave her a shower and food. She stayed in my bed that night and every night after’.
