In order to experience what her son does on a daily basis, a mother got a mark reproduction of her son painted on her face.
One-year-old Carlos was born with a dark spot that ran the length of one side of his nose.
On the other hand, his mother has vowed never to hide him and to make sure he understands that he is fine just as he is.
‘Despite how challenging it is, my husband and I behave normally and always speak the truth.’
‘If someone reacts, we try to persuade him that, despite his mark, he is a normal and much loved boy like the others.’
She hoped that she would be able to better understand the challenges that her son faces, and she was surprised at how he felt as a result.
‘I was very emotional once the makeup was done because I felt like the most beautiful human being in the world,’ she explained.
‘Carlos’ reaction when I got home was complete joy, even if he didn’t quite get it.
