Students made an effort to write from the perspective of a shelter animal in an effort to persuade readers to adopt them.
Without anyone else’s help, they came up with sweet tales and illustrated the animals.
‘When I was a kid, I used to surround myself with as many animals as I could get away with,’ he said.
I recall playing with a bunny when I was 3 years old. They named it after me.
I used to be the proud owner of numerous domestic animals when I was young.
The teacher recalls, ‘I needed to preserve many animals, and I did everything I could to convince my parents to allow me to hold a cat that was born in a neighbor’s driveway.’
She put the concept to the test by bringing a shelter puppy to class.
The children enjoyed it, understood how the safe home operated, and were motivated to carry out the fictional tasks.
‘ As a teacher, I frequently share stories about my pets with my students.
I typically show a picture of one of my creatures while I’m teaching kids about modifiers, and the kids write descriptions of the animal.
