Twenty years ago, retired Lana Jones arrived in a neighborhood and quickly gained a reputation.
She volunteered her time freely for numerous homeless and underprivileged charities.
Everything was going well for the woman until one day when she received notice from the landlords of the house she rented that they were evicting her in order to sell the property.
Since Lana lacked the funds to purchase the house from them, she began packing and seeking for a new place to live.
One of the neighbors overheard her talking about her issues, and he promptly told the other citizens of the city what had happened.
Then they made the decision to work together and purchase Lana a home.
To delay the woman’s eviction while they raised money to purchase a property, the locals and the woman’s landlord agreed to an arrangement.
The locals started to make money in every available way because there weren’t any impossibly wealthy individuals among them.
As a result, Lana’s neighbors were able to gather $255k and purchase a home for her.
‘Monday was the day I acquired legal ownership of the property. I adore my neighbors and this neighborhood.’ said Lana.
