‘I’d give my life for him’: a man said after his dog got attacked by an alligator

The dog was dragged into the water by an alligator. The owner was forced to engage in combat with a hazardous predator.

In early June, a guy was going around his farm’s perimeter when an alligator came from the swamp and seized his rescue dog.

It started dragging the dog into the water by the paw. The man attempted to drag the pet by the collar, but the predator refused to give up.

The man then made a decision. He got into the water and started hitting the alligator on the head.

The animal quickly left, leaving the injured dog on the shore. The dog’s paw had been seriously harmed, necessitating immediate surgery.

The man escaped with just minor injuries. Crocodiles are most dangerous from April to June, when the animals grow more active and aggressive.

After the incident, the man set up an alligator trap in the hopes of catching the crocodile before it harmed anybody else. He tried to attract the reptile with a rooster, but so far nothing has worked.

The man isn’t giving up hope of ridding the county of a predator, especially because the local wildlife management group is willing to transfer the alligator away from humans.
