The Return of the Lost Father

Frozen in place, she looked up just as a well-dressed man stepped out. His eyes locked onto hers with concern.
«Watch out, little one,» he said in a voice that seemed oddly familiar.
Then, Riley’s voice rang out from behind. «Dan?»
The man’s face shifted from confusion to recognition.
“Maddy? Is it really you?” he asked, stepping closer.
Tears welled up in Riley’s eyes. “Dan… Is it really you?”
In an instant, they embraced, and Mia was pulled into their arms as well.
“That’s your father!” Riley whispered, her heart racing. “I thought you were gone…”
Dan explained how, after the accident, he had been mistaken for a dead colleague. When he regained consciousness, he had lost all memory of his life, including Riley and Mia. For years, he tried to find them but had no success. He had started his own mining business, becoming a millionaire along the way.
“I’ve finally found you,” Dan said, looking at Riley and Mia. “I won’t lose you again.”
