Everyone knows that dogs are man’s best friend, but sometimes they’re even better: they’re your best man.
Such was the case with a veteran and his beautiful service dog, who have such a strong attachment that on his wedding day, he needed to involve his doggy in a unique way.
Martin was given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity while recovering in the medical facility. A charity group connects service members with support dogs. Martin was paired with Gaby.
‘The less I use my wheelchair, the more I desire his help with small tasks,’ Martin explained.
He became an immediate source of essential reassurance and companionship.
You must ensure that a service dog will adore the person with whom they are paired for the rest of their lives.
When they first met, Martin walked into the room, and Gaby was passionately moving on the floor.
So it seemed only appropriate that Gaby be a part of Martin and his significant other’s wedding ceremony.
In any event, although some people use their dogs as ring bearers or just as visitors, Martin needed his beloved canine close to him on his special day and give him a high position: best man.
