This girl escaped a serious car accident, but she remained bedridden for the rest of her life. The charity fund’s volunteers decided to try to bring a little joy to the child.
Memphis, 6, was traveling home with her grandma and uncle when their automobile was involved in an accident.
The girl suffered multiple injuries, including a spine fracture and cardiac arrest. Doctors were able to save her life, but the youngster was paralyzed from the neck down.
Memphis was terrified when she first opened her eyes in the hospital since she was hooked up to a ventilator and couldn’t feel her own body.
In addition, the tragedy killed the girl’s uncle and injured her grandma. The girl was in a state of bereavement and sadness.
A local organization decided to assist Memphis.
They contacted her relatives to learn more about her preferences. She turned out to be a dog lover. When the puppy was brought to the girl, vets and parents watched her grin for the first time in weeks.
The dog made the child forget about the agony, the loss of loved ones, and the accident, at least for a short time. The puppy visits her on a daily basis.
The dog will also be trained to be a companion for the girl.
Doctors believe she will never be able to walk again, but treatment and rehabilitation will help her live a better life.
