The family eventually relocated to a different location, but Sam never gave up seeking for his dog.
Sam got a surprise call almost five years later.

However, this was unnecessary because the dog’s chip could be read by those who detected it during the checkup at the veterinarian facility.
No one else questioned whether or not the lost canine had actually been discovered.
Sam got in the car right away following the call in the hopes that the animal would still recognize him after all these years.
When he first saw the dog, the man was overjoyed. The dog could not help wagging his tail in excitement.
Sam attempts to spend as much time as he can with his canine companion now that they are back together without letting him out of his sight.
