A rare goIden possum that looks like a Pokemon is rescued by an Australian sanctuary

A possum, resembling the popular character Pokemon, was taken to the Boronla Veterinary Clinic in Melbourne in early November.

According to a vet, this is a possum with a genetic issue that causes a lack of melanin, making the animal’s fur (which is normally gray) turn golden.

One of the volunteers discovered the little possum, who was estimated to be 6 months old, on the ground.

The infant was evaluated and found to be healthy.

He was given to a guardian who cares for wild animals after spending the night with the vet. The cute animal is unlikely to be put into the nature in the future due to its unusual colouring, which makes it too visible.

While the cute possum’s future is unknown, Pika is gaining popularity on social media.

The golden possum photo has been shared over 1,400 times on Instagram.

Everyone would wish to see such a cute animal as you won’t see something like this in real life.

What an actual beauty. Hopefully this wonderful animal will have a good future always surrounded by kind and caring people.
