Charlie McVicar and his partner, Luke Walker, long dreamed of a unique lifestyle, and they made it happen by investing $24,000.
For under $3,000, they purchased a used double-decker bus, then transformed it into a modern home complete with a kitchen, bathroom, dressing area, and even an office.
Due to the unusual layout, they needed custom-made furniture to optimize space. For heating, they decided on electric radiators and a wood stove, creating a cozy atmosphere for colder days.
The conversion took nearly a full year, during which friends and family were delighted to help in any way they could.
Their pets accompanied them on this adventure, including two goats who now have lush grass to graze on. «We wanted a life together without the burden of a mortgage or high rent,» Charlie explains.
