Raquel, at the time 14, became pregnant and left school. She made a promise to herself not to give up.
That she would work and study hard in order to provide her daughter with the greatest childhood possible.
Raquel now holds her 6-year-old daughter’s hand as she graduates from university and shares touching images on social media.
Raquel attended many schools before enrolling at York College and, finally, university.
Little Julia was the main source of motivation for mom to keep going and not give up on this long and difficult road.
Mother and daughter, on the other hand, made it. They even collaborated in their mother’s final effort.
Raquel was studying for her finals while Julia completed her schoolwork. Raquel recently received her diploma and applied for psychology.
The day of the university’s graduation ceremony was filled with emotional moments. Julia was, of course, present.
During the ceremony, daughter Julia corrected the announcer, who had mispronounced her mother’s last name when calling her mother on stage.
‘This is my mother!’ the girl exclaimed. ‘You can do anything, you just have to genuinely want it,’ Raquel says to anyone who doubts their ability.
