Nicky had a loving husband, a wonderful daughter, and a beautiful home. Yet, she always felt something was missing—since childhood, she had dreamed of adopting a child and giving them a family filled with love and care.
When she and her husband visited an orphanage, they made a life-changing decision. They chose Rustam, a boy who had almost no chance of being adopted.
Rustam was born with severe facial deformities and only one leg. His birth mother abandoned him at birth, and he struggled with eating, speaking, and moving on his own. But when Nicky saw him, she felt no fear—only determination.
«For a moment, I thought, ‘What have we done?’ But then, I focused on what we needed to do,” she admitted.
A year later, Rustam made incredible progress. With his parents’ love and care, he learned to walk with a prosthetic leg and worked hard with a speech therapist.
At first, people stared and children avoided him. So, Nicky started an Instagram account to share his journey. Soon, Rustam’s story touched hearts worldwide. He appeared on TV, inspiring many with his strength.
Nicky teaches her son that true beauty lies within. He still faces challenges, but with a loving family by his side, Rustam is proof that love can change a life.
