This story told by animal rights activists will make you emotional.
Guvo was 19 years old when he ended up in a shelter in South Carolina for a formal reason, discussed by the owners as ‘unforeseen circumstances,’ but in reality, for a typical and common reason: the pet was getting old and was not as fun and playful as he used to be.
Kitty was examined by the shelter’s veterinarian and was declared to be in ‘exceptional health’ — quite an accomplishment for a soon-to-be 19 years old kitty. Guvo proved to be a true lucky charm.
Nature gifted upon him excellent health, and he also found his owner.
Shortly after the cat arrived, the shelter’s director received an unexpected phone call from people looking for a house cat to be the best friend for their elderly grandmother. They specifically inquired as to whether there was an older cat available for adoptlon who matched their mother’s advanced age.
Annie, the family’s 102-year-old grandmother, instantly fell in love with this cat, and they are now inseparable.
Guvo has settled in nicely in his new home.
