This four-year-old child has a condition that makes it difficult for him to speak with people and express himself. He lived in his own universe, shut off from both the boy’s parents and the rest of the world. But all changed when a dog arrived at the house.
This dog accomplished the seemingly impossible: he was able to approach the «difficult» boy and become his best friend. Even on a nonverbal level, he learnt to «communicate» with the dog. And the puppy picks up on what the little owner is trying to say in a subtle way.
They work together on everything.When the mom sees her kid play hide-and-seek with the spaniel and dress him up in suits to match his attire, her heart melts. This gentle and attentive dog aided the child in gaining confidence and expanding his horizons.
By their own example, the boy’s parents were convinced of the beneficial effects of communicating with a pet on a youngster with autism’s condition and development.
They believe in the benefits of canistherapy, so they created a Facebook page to gather cash to offer companion dogs to families with children with autism spectrum illnesses.
They dedicated it to their rescuer, the dog, of course. And, thanks to a charity sale of embroidery produced by Hayley during quarantine, she was able to purchase a therapy spaniel for another youngster who is similar to the boy– he will soon have his own puppy, and perhaps his life will change for the better.
