A neighborhood person learned that the cat had been left by its owner after the owner had moved. The resident made the decision to call a shelter.
A rescue group from Indianapolis answered the call and was on the location right away to assist the cat.
All came across a number of people in apartment buildings, and they confirmed the issue.
Their only source of protection was a cardboard box supported against the apartment building’s wall.
When we went over and discovered where he was, the neighborhood kids directed us there.
The shelter personnel had to take extra steps since the cat was rumored to be protective of its young.
But as soon as the crew opened a tin can, they noticed a cat coming in their direction, waiting to be fed.
She came out, and they noticed the three kitties of the cat gathered together on the ground.
Never before have we seen a kitty finish off a can so quickly. The rescue crew picked up the three kittens and took their mother and them to the transfer van.
The stray was quite nice to each rescue team member.
