Lia brought her pet dog, Jonny, along when she went to see her fiancé. She placed him on the grass and went inside to play with Cardi, her fiance’s dog.
The two dogs had disappeared when she returned after barely five minutes away.
Lia concluded that it was likely that the dogs had scaled the fence and went into a nearby field in search of them.
When someone unexpectedly materialized to help her, she had no idea how she was going to find them.
When Jonny and Cardi saw them heading to the nearby dollar store, they made the decision to somehow search for dog toys.
Lia, relieved that the dogs had been located, rushed into the car and drove right to the store.
When they came, the dogs were still in the doggy toy hallway, and the store personnel were pleasantly amused by the entire situation.
The dogs’ owners will now be watching them closely anytime they are outside in the yard in case they attempt to skip the fence once more and leave the house to get new toys.
