Sometimes the best medicine is a good dog’s affection. A loving animal lover named Flavlo has been receiving medical treatment in a hospital in Brazil for four weeks.
He was going through a challenging time, which was probably made harder by the fact that he was missing his beloved dog at home, who had been his lifetime best friend.
When the nurses who were taking care of Flavlo learnt of this, they made the decision to pay him a special visit, possibly unsure of the impact it would have.
Finally, the two pals are reunited.
But it turned out that visit had a greater effect than first thought.
Doctors noted a very positive improvement in Flavlo after he spent time with his dog.
The patient’s whole perspective appeared to shift. The doctor said, ‘I was surprised. ‘
Doctor continued by saying that seeing animals seems to have psychological and physical advantages.
Given the beneficial effects that have been demonstrated, I hope that it won’t be the last time at this hospital.
