Thanks to the sympathetic police officers and volunteers, an owl was rescued. People saw an owl on a busy highway that was unable to fly.
To help the bird, concerned citizens decided to call the police.
Officer showed up to assist. Although these owls are plentiful in the United States, it is very impossible to see one during the day.
She parked her car to rescue the owl. Then she made every effort to protect the owl.
A wildlife rehabilitation specialist showed up later to try to rescue the bird. Fortunately, the owl was okay after he succeeded in rescuing it.
The bird was put far from a major roadway after the officer took a photo of her rescue as a keepsake.
Bravo to the police officer, the volunteer, and the kind individuals who helped rescue the bird!
I think that we need more people like this these days. People, who will not hesitate to try and help an animal in need.
