Daphnee was a special individual. We can state with certainty that she truly found her passion and delighted in what she cherished. Her life has mostly involved elephants.
Daphnee studied and was born in Kenya.
She had a strong bond with nature when she was a young child. Daphnee met Dave in the early 1950s and knew she had found her true love.
Dave had established the Park in Kenya by this point.
As the park expanded, additional species started to show up there along with the elephants.
Both locals and international benefactors offered Dave and Daphnee help. Elephants held a particular place in Daphnee’s heart.
She made a lot of new pals among these animals. Daphnee received special treatment from the elephants. This relationship lasted forever.
Daphnee lost her husband in the 1970s. Until the end of her life, she devotedly and lovingly carried on her husband’s work.
Daphnee passed in 2018 at the age of 83.
The Park has evolved over the course of its history into more than just a shelter and safe haven for animals; it has also turned into a true home for its staff.
