Unexpectedly, a bystander in a used car lot spotted a tiny pink animal that was scanning the area. He carried the animal to the sanctuary after picking him up.
When Dave, the company’s CEO, first saw the animal, he mistook it for a bald cat!
But after looking at the creature more closely for a minute, it was obvious that this was a bald opossum.
The animal needed to be warmed quickly. Then Dave and some other volunteers started assisting with the opossum’s weight gain.
The animal was still quite small, and it is unknown how long he was apart from his mother.
The animal was fed a variety of foods, and he eagerly consumed all the sweets. They made him a few warm jackets and bags.
The newborn opossum has only been living in the wild for a few weeks, but he has already put on weight and will soon be ready to meet just another opossum that lives in the group.
The animals were given their own area with plenty of room for walking around and napping. Luckily, the ending was happy.
