Instead of the mother, the baby monkey hugs a soft toy for comfort

A little monkey was found in the bush by the locals, who brought him to their village to keep as a pet.

The two-month-old cub, Jolly Mi, is a monkey that eats crabs.

However, the locals only fed him bananas, which made him very thin and slowed his growth.

In addition, he was still too young to be cared for by his mother. He had no hope of continuing in a house in the village.

Fortunately, a neighbor called the sanctuary, and the little one was taken out of the crowd and put in a foundation shelter.

There, a stuffed, soft giraffe was given to the monkey. Jolly Mi immediately took it, and she continued to do so with her little hands.

He has used the toy as a kind of substitute for his mother.

The baby will not let go of the toy, even when it is eating or sleeping. He is fed by the worker at the shelter, not the toy.

Thankfully, he is now in good hands, and we plan to introduce him to other monkeys after the quarantine period is over.
