The young lady and her family are from New Orleans. They were compelled
to flee as the hurricane hit. But, first, Bailee took the opportunity to rescue a
few tiny animals whose lives had been flipped upside down by a
tremendous storm.
The girl discovered a nest on the ground that had been pulled from the tree by the wind. She peered inside and discovered three baby squirrels.
The girl could not abandon them, so she put the tiny squirrels in a box.
«I put them in the box after drying them. «They were sluggish and hugged each other to keep warm,» the girl recalls. The young lady started feeding the animals every day.
They grew more lively right away, and within a day or two, they were running and climbing on their savior. When the family was forced to flee, the rescued animals joined the rest of the family.
While the girl enjoys caring for them, she recognizes that this is something that should be done by people who have been properly taught.
She attempted to place them in a rehabilitation center before the hurricane, but she was unable to do so because the facility was overcrowded with other animals.
Bailee, on the other hand, says she’ll keep looking for additional rehabilitators who can help orphaned animals.
In the meanwhile, they are content to be together in their temporary house. And the squirrels appear to be content with their new mother.
