In early January, a dog went lost in the Irish mountains. Her and another pet were taken for a long stroll by their owners.
Both dogs bolted when they saw the deer. One of the dogs returned (she was discovered in the parking lot the next day), but the other vanished without a trace.
The owners searched the woods and launched drones into the skies, but the dog vanished.
Then they left a basket full of unwashed linens near where they last saw her in the hopes that the dog would smell it and follow it out of the park. The family also used social media to spread the word about the dog.
Time passed, but the dog remained undiscovered. The family began to accept the fact that their pet would never be seen again.
Suddenly, word came that a dog had been discovered on top of a mountain, curled up between enormous stones, by doctors and part-time ardent climbers who had scaled one of the peaks despite the frosty and snowy weather.
The dog was terrified and trembling all over, according to her rescuers. One of the climbers carried the retriever down the mountain on her husband’s back, walking 10 kilometers down a difficult route. To keep the dog safe, the climber used a scarf to tie the retriever to his bag.
The rescue organization was already aware that the family was searching for the dog, and they couldn’t believe their eyes when they saw it – the dog had lasted two weeks on a snowy hillside without food or drink! It appeared to be a miracle. The dog was dehydrated and had lost a lot of weight, but she was generally well.
