She stepped into a big bag to stay warm on chilly evenings. She just had her six dogs.
The woman, who the neighbors just referred to as Ola, constantly fed and cared for her pets as well as she could.
They formed a close ball and comforted each other up at night. Ola refused to accompany the police when they arrived to assist the woman.
A spot in a shelter was offered to the woman, but she insisted on staying in her plastic ‘home.’
She won’t be able to bring her dogs to the shelter, after all! How will they manage without her on the streets?
Finally, Ola was convinced to take shelter for the night by the police woman.
One of the volunteers realized that she could not possibly make a dog owners’ life completely different.
But she made the decision to take action where she could. She purchased all of the necessities for someone having to live on the streets.
The volunteer thinks that just helping Ola get back on her feet and start a shelter so she can rescue other stray animals is the finest thing that can be done for her.
