A call concerning a newborn raccoon in distress was made to a sanctuary the previous year.
The animal was left by his mother when he was only three weeks old.
He was discovered on the street in the rain.
Jolly, the raccoon Melania adopted, was taken to a facility that specializes in rescuing deer.
Jolly, however, lived because of love and attentive care, and he soon made friends with deer.
The raccoon often visited a fawn by the name of Hippo. Like Jolly, Hippo was found in the street.
The raccoon and the fawn developed a close connection over time, which is now enjoyed by hundreds of social media users in addition to the sanctuary staff.
Even though Jolly and Hippo meet each other every day, they never grow bored of talking to one another and never part ways, even at night.
Hippo visits Jolly in the evening and falls asleep next to him. Their relationship is just wonderful.
We never stop marveling at this and celebrating for them,’ adds Melanie. What a wonderful bond between two species. What do you think?
