Despite finishing only 5th grade, this Italian became a famous performer and actor. His talent and determination proved that success doesn’t require a formal education, just passion and hard work.

Do you recognize the boy in the picture? This is the famous Italian performer and actor, Adriano Celentano. He was born in January 1936, on a day that coincides with the celebration of jokes and entertainment. Humor and jokes have accompanied his life ever since.

Adriano was the fifth child in his family. His mother was 44 when he was born, and he was named after his older sister, who had passed away before his birth. The family was quite poor, and after the passing of his father, their financial situation worsened. As a result, Adriano had to leave school at the age of 12.

He started working as an apprentice to a watchmaker. Interestingly, repairing watches became one of his lifelong passions. He took great pleasure in fixing old clocks throughout his life. As a child, Adriano had an exceptional ability to mimic famous personalities, which led his sister to send a photo of him impersonating a well-known figure to a contest.

Adriano won a prize and received a generous cash reward.

His love for rock music, which was instilled in him by his mother, also played a major role in his early life. She was an avid fan of the genre, and their home was filled with music from morning to night.

Adriano soon began composing his own songs, with his friend writing the lyrics.

He later participated in various musical competitions.

Despite having completed only five years of formal education, Adriano can be considered largely self-taught. His contributions to both music and film are well-known and cherished by audiences worldwide. His films, as well as his iconic music, have left a lasting legacy that continues to influence generations.
