In October of 2020, this dog was discovered in the woods. The dog was in such bad shape that he could hardly move. She had entirely lost her hair. The dog was taken to a partner shelter by volunteers from a non-profit group committed to animal welfare.
Her entire body hurt and burned, and her eyes were vacant and distant, as if she didn’t want to live any longer. The dog indicated major health issues throughout the checkup. All of this needed extensive treatment and upkeep.
Fortunately, the dog was rescued in time. Her wounds were cleaned on a daily basis, and she was given therapeutic baths. Soon after, the dog was able to find a temporary home where she could be warm and comfortable.
The dog blossomed as a result of the dog’s care and love. She began to alter both on the outside and within. And, while it may take months for the dog to fully heal, it is no longer identifiable. Her temporary owners describe her as a sociable dog that loves attention and company.
The dog will be sterilized when her skin has healed entirely and the physicians have completed her therapy, and then she will be placed in a permanent home.
Volunteers are certain that they will not have to wait long, since this dog has returned to trusting humans and is eager to love.
