A woman has stunned everyone by transforming an old bus into a magical «forest retreat home» and has been living away from civilization for several years. Inside the bus, there’s a luxurious bed, a fully equipped kitchen, and a bathroom, all crafted with her own hands. This artistic and eco-conscious transformation has captured the imagination of many.
Chelsea, a passionate artist committed to sustainable living, turned an old bus into a cozy, nature-inspired home. She calls it the «Forest Bus Home-Shelter,» a project born out of her desire to live frugally while focusing on her art. After years of living in a smaller bus, she decided to move into this new home, where she can slow down her pace of life and fully dedicate herself to creativity.
The bus, a Mercedes Nambucca, is 11 meters long and was found by Chelsea after extensive searching on Marketplace. The unique charm of the bus lies in its double doors and panoramic windows, which perfectly integrate with the natural surroundings. The transformation, a DIY project, allowed Chelsea to learn many new skills, and she had help from family and friends with more complex tasks like carpentry and plumbing.
The total cost of the renovation ranged from $10,000 to $13,000, which highlights Chelsea’s resourcefulness and determination to find affordable materials for her new home.
She also preserved some of the bus’s original features, like the dashboard and manual lights, to honor its history.
Outside, Chelsea has created a peaceful area for relaxation, where she can host guests or work while surrounded by nature. Though her bus is currently connected to electricity and water, she plans to explore self-sufficiency options in the future.
