A woman had a secret admirer who sent her Valentines for 60 years.

Maria had a very romantic secret admirer once a year throughout her life. After all, on Valentine’s Day each year, postcards were sent to a woman.

Thus, sixty years in a row! And it all began in 1928, when Maria was just 16 years old, on Valentine’s Day.

So she got good news every year for the rest of her life. Unfortunately, the woman passed in 1988, and she never knew who it was.

The most fascinating aspect is that the postcards came from various nations.

The woman could infer that her secret admirer was a classmate who went on to become a sailor at the end of school.

Maria stated to reporters in 1972, ‘I hope he keeps sending them.’ A decent box of postcards had already been collected, and the woman had no idea who was sending them.

‘Yes, it’s me again’ or ‘You know who yourself’ were the signatures on the valentines. The final 60th postcard followed.

A devoted admirer brought flowers and a card to her goodbye ceremony: Loved one, go in peace.’ Maria never knew her name. Cool, right?
