A man was sitting on his porch, enjoying the day, when he noticed the incredible sight!
When sunrises touch a hummlngbird’s wings (while in flight), the smallest details appear to be a rainbow.
The man was watching a black hummingbird when he noticed the strange look. This is known as a prism effect, and human eyes are unlikely to see it.
He has long been drawn to these rainbow jewels, and some of his hummingbird photographs were featured in a short film in 2012.
It was a huge success, according to its reputation (it won 11 international awards including that of best film).
It’s the first time he’s seen the incredible prism effect. Years later, he returned to photograph it again.
‘I decided to record the same phenomenon with my camera,’ the photographer explained.
‘There is no special process at work here; just light across the wings of this one-of-a-kind hummingbird.’
