After her dog vanished from her yard, this lady was very alarmed. The dog’s owner shared the story on social media in order to spread the word and ask people to keep an eye out for her missing pet.
The strategy was successful: Days afterwards, when a couple came to the bar with the dog, a sharp-eyed local recognized the canine from the photo — and realized he could have been stolen.
‘I have no idea how I came to this conclusion,’ the bartender explained, ‘but something just didn’t sit right with me.’
The owner wrote on Facebook that the suspect tricked the police department by claiming to have found the dog that morning.
They also claimed that the canine they brought to the pub was not the one they brought, despite witnesses saying otherwise.
The important thing was that the dog was deemed perfectly safe, and he was released after being assessed by a local veterinarian.
